Dear WAHC Families,
We couldn’t be more excited to see hockey returning and we encourage you to renew your USA Hockey membership today as we ready for the upcoming season!
Minnesota Hockey has advised all associations to prepare for the regular season as we normally would and we excitedly have started our planning. We’re building out a season calendar based on programs for all age levels from our Termites through our Jr Gold high school teams; we hope to share tentative dates (at least start and end dates) for preseason camps, tryouts and assessments in mid-July when we open our online Season Registration. We have already completed team registrations for the majority of our travel teams’ tournaments - that’s 100+ tournament entries, and we have already filled our own Sweetheart Tournament. It is feeling more & more like hockey is back!
We are looking forward to having you back at our rinks and playing hockey with us this winter and hope you are too. While things may look a little different as the season gets started, we can assure once you get back on the ice, it will feel like the same game you know and love. Safety is our top priority and the Woodbury Area Hockey Club will be working with our rinks, Minnesota Hockey and our USA Hockey partners to implement policies for on-ice activity centered around a safe and fun environment.
We are here to support and make your transition back to the rink as easy as possible. We will work diligently to follow national and local healthcare recommendations. We are utilizing the below resources that have been made available through USA Hockey to encourage best practices, in addition to helping answer questions you and your family may have:
