Pre-Season Camps

Fall 2011 Pre-Season Camps

The WAHC is pleased to offer Pre-Season Camps (PSC) for players who will be playing Squirt/U10 and higher in the 2011-2012 season.
The curriculum for this year's PSC will remain consistent with last season and feature:
·        Continued support and training from both Woodbury and East Ridge high school boys and girls coaches
·        Sessions with our key providers: Northern Edge, ProEdge Power, ProHybrid and Carroll Goalie School   
·      A complete curriculum that includes 3-on-3, contact/checking, goalie-specific AND dryland sessions at ALL levels for Squirts/U10 and higher (NOTE: While we will alter the Pee Wee checking clinic to align with the new USA Hockey checking rules, we will still do the "Dryland Checking" sessions with the Pee Wees to get them comfortable with basic checking concepts)
·        Participation at the U14 level in conjunction with our continued Cottage Grove co-op
Once again the PSC will be an optional program with a separate fee. Registration for the PSC is now open. 
 Please note: while players are encouraged to take advantage of this additional training option, these sessions WILL NOT INFLUENCE the WAHC tryout process in any manner.

Registration for PSC

Registration will remain open until August 31st. Please register as soon as possible to ensure participation in the PSC. WAHC players will only be guaranteed a PSC spot through August 15th. At that time, we will open registration to surrounding clubs in order to maximize participation across the scheduled sessions.

The Registration "2011 Pre-Season Camp Registration" is not currently available.

PSC Schedules

For the Bantam/U16, Pee Wee and 12U PSC schedules, please see the Schedules tab.

All other PSC schedules will be available within two weeks of the start date of your player's level.

Group assignments will be emailed to players within a week of their session start date.

Bantam/U16, Pee Wee, U12 and U14 PSC

Pee Wee and Bantam/U16 - $195  
U12 and U14 - $185

  • Pee Wee, U12 and Bantam/U16 sessions will start on Sept. 6th and conclude by Sept. 23rd
  • U14 sessions will start on Sept. 26th and conclude Oct. 14th to align with tryouts in late October
  • There will be 10 on-ice sessions and 4 dryland training sessions immediately before or after select on-ice sessions
  • The curriculum will include:
    • Flow/Situational instruction with HS coaches
    • Advanced Skill Development with Northern Edge
    • 3 ‘Goalie-Only’ sessions with ProHybrid
    • 3-on-3 sessions
    • a Contact/Checking session
    • an ‘Off-Ice Checking’ session for Pee Wees and Bantams

Squirt & U10 PSC

U10 & Squirt - $175

  • Sessions will start on Sept. 23rd and conclude on Oct. 6th
  • There will be 8 on-ice sessions and 4 dryland training sessions immediately before or after select on-ice sessions
  • The curriculum will include:
    • Flow/Situational instruction with HS coaches
    • Advanced Skill Development with Northern Edge
    • 3 ‘goalie-only’ sessions with Carroll Goalie School
    • Skating instruction with Diane Ness
    • 3-on-3 sessions
    • a Contact/Checking session
