Interested in Learning to Play Hockey?
 

We have just the program for you!  It's our INTRO TO HOCKEY, a learn to play program for Boys & Girls, ages 3 to 8 (ages 3 to 12 for girls) who can skate a little and want to give hockey a try.  The focus is on FUN while teaching basic hockey skills.

THE FUN STARTS HERE!

ELIGIBILITY
INTRO TO HOCKEY is intended for first-time hockey players ages 3-8 (3-12 for girls) years and is open to kids living or attending school in the ISD833 school boundary of Woodbury, Afton and Newport.  Please note, this is NOT a Learn to Skate program.  Kids who do not have skating experience should take skating lessons prior to their first Intro to Hockey session.  For information regarding Woodbury's Learn to Skate program, please click HERE.

COST IS $120 and INCLUDES
Participants will receive 6-one hour clinics and their own Woodbury Predator jersey.  Equipment is available to use with a security deposit (except for hockey skates, hockey sticks and a mouthguard).  Players continuing on into our Termites, MiniMite/6U and Mite/8U program may use this equipment for their first season of hockey as well.

SCHEDULES & LOCATION 

We offer our Intro To Hockey program in the Fall at the Health East Sports Center.  We typically have 3 groups of 30-40 skaters in each group. These groups will be set by age with the age cut-off determined to allow for 30-40 skaters per group.

The groups are labeled:  

  • Intro-1     
  • Intro-2      
  • Intro-3

FOOTNOTES:

(a) FEES: In addition to our WAHC program registration fee, players will pay an additional fee (birth years 2015-16 $50, birthyears 2017 & later $15) for the USA Hockey Registration Fee and MN Hockey Affiliate Fee (if applicable).  This USA Hockey Registration Fee and Affiliate Fee is paid directly to USA Hockey.
