WAHC Ice Scheduler

Ice Scheduling Principles for 2015-2016 Season

  • Team calendars on individual WAHC team pages are always the most accurate source for your team's ice functions.  Occasionally, I will need to shift a practice time, change a dedicated practice to a shared practice, or otherwise adjust team calendars because of ice conflicts or other issues.  I would suggest leveraging the iCal feeds, which synchronize team calendars with smart phones.  However, if you ever see a discrepancy between your team calendar and the iCal feed, the team calendar on the WAHC team page is correct.
  • Consult the table below for the plans for publishing practice schedules to team calendars.  Non-practice pre-scheduled functions like district games, Exceed sessions, Squirt/10U 3v3 league, goalie development, and hockey development will be loaded to team calendars at the start of the season.
  • See the WAHC hosted tournament details below on this page.  Assume that teams will not have access to practice ice on those weekends, so those would  be good dates to look into away district games, additional tournaments, away scrimmages, and dryland activities.
  • If you want to schedule a weekend scrimmage for a future month that doesn't yet have a published practice schedule, please contact the ice scheduler directly.  In general, there will be no weekday dedicated ice available to teams for scrimmages, so focus on weekends for scrimmages during the season.
  • Do not schedule over any of the commitments already on your team calendar, like Hockey Development, Goalie Development, Squirt 3v3, or Exceed.  These sessions require a lot of time, energy and coordination to schedule, and rescheduling is difficult if not impossible.

Forms

Scrimmage Form

Submit this form to notify the ice scheduler that you've added a scrimmage to your team's schedule. For scrimmages on home ice, the ice scheduler will ensure that the ice isn't shared later on and will notify the arena to make the necessary locker room assignments. If you are hosting a scrimmage with referees, you will need to submit a referee request separately.

Tournament Form

Use this form to notify the ice scheduler that you are adding a tournament to your team's schedule.

Practice Trade Form

Use this form to notify the ice scheduler if you have agreed to an ice trade with another WAHC team.

District Game Reschedule

Use this form to notify the ice scheduler of a District 8 game reschedule. If you need to reschedule a home district game, please contact the ice scheduler directly.

WAHC Hosted Tournaments

Our club is hosting tournaments on the following weekends:

  • 12/3/2015 - 12/6/2015
  • 1/7/2016 - 1/10/2016
  • 1/21/2016 - 1/24/2016
  • 2/4/2016 - 2/7/2016

Because most club ice will be used to host games for these tournaments, practice ice will be minimal on these weekends.  Please keep this in mind as you look into district game reschedules.

Dryland Scheduling

Available Ice

Please click the links below to view available indoor and outdoor ice.  If you would like one of these ice sessions for your team, please send an email to the ice scheduler using the link above.  For indoor ice, if multiple teams request the ice session, the ice scheduler will assign it to the team who is more in need of the hour in terms of their ice allocation for the season.  For outdoor ice, generally it will be first come, first served.
