The Minnesota Wild hosted its inaugural Wild Mite Holiday Jamboree at the Xcel Energy Center Tuesday.
Thirty-two teams of young hockey players who are 8 years old and younger hit the ice rink for games. Each team plays three 30-minute games, and the event goes until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
On Wednesday, all teams are then invited to watch the Wild practice and meet their mascot, Nordy, before finishing out the second day of games.
